OK, so the place looks a little shady from the road, and the check in lobby could use some serious de-cluttering, but over all, our stay wasn't bad, and Brad at the bar was one of the friendliest guys you'll ever meet. Cheap, motel, clean room, cheap food, cheap drinks!
We arrived at about 8:30 or 9 pm. The office was dark. We found someone to check us in at the "bar". The room was clean, and we did not find evidence of bed bugs. The real problem was that the plumbing drains were plugged, so we weren't able to use the toilet or the shower. I will not be staying here again.
Nice place to stay. Very personal service . Great for a few days out of the city.
According to the clerk there is a plan to make a train car restaurant on the premises as well in the future. This place is grossly overpriced.
The grounds were overgrown with weeds and there was junk scattered about everywhere. The room was musty and damp and had a bad smell. The gravel parking lot was like a lake. The “lakefront” was all rocks and reeds.
To say the very least in the nicest way this motel was horrible!
A little skeptical at first look of the place but it turned out to be a pretty nice motel, just a tad over priced and only had one tv channel or else I would have given 5 stars. Rooms are clean, staff was friendly and has a nice view. Plus they have a sign for motorcycle awareness!
